Ian Flack - Winmau Sales and Marketing DirectorI grew up watching Bullseye
and, combined with the crumpets for tea, it made for a
perfect weekend afternoon! There hasn’t been a gameshow like
it before or since, and I would love to see it back on
terrestrial television. It would no doubt have a huge impact
on the sport, as well as providing a lot of laughs along the
way! |

Kevin Barry - British
Columbia, Canada
My relatives from England have
told me all about the show and we always play out parts like
101 or more in six darts, I would love to see the show, its
got history. Whenever in Canada ex-pats always reminisce
about the old days and the "super, smashin great" quotes
always come up, its right up there with the blackouts and
Falklands, (that's a huge compliment by the way). I wish you
all the best for the show and i for one will be promoting
it. |

Kevin Evans - Producer ITV Sport
I would just like to say Bullseye is such
an institution in Britain and made many viewers Sunday afternoon
an enjoyable one. I always remember sitting down with the family
and watching the program. Great telly and, as they say, they
don't make them like they used to.
"It would be wonderful if this great family
institution returned to our television screens."

One of the best game

better invite me on! |

‘the King of Bling’ George – The face and pundit of BBC TV
Darts. Twice Embassy World Darts Championship Finalist at
Lakeside.
'I’m privileged to have been
involved with the Bullseye show since appearing on the pilot
show all those years ago – it was one of the most popular
shows on TV and judging by the amount of people who ask
‘when is it coming back ‘still is!’ Super, magic, great! |

Stuttard - Massive Bullseye fan in Lancashire
Bullseye was the highlight of my week when I was growing up,
I’ve always wanted to be a contestant on the show ever since
I was 3 years old because I loved the show so much, I’ve
seen every series from series 4 onwards. I recently wrote on
the Challenge TV forums to see if they can show Series 1, 2
and 3 from 1981,1982 and 1983 respectively, also it would be
super smashing great to see a BRAND NEW series on ITV on
Sundays with Jim Bowen for the reason he is Mr. Bullseye.
Thanks for giving me pleasure when I growing up with the
best game show ever made. |

ATKINS – THE ASSASSIN. 2009
Lakeside World Pro Last 16. Selected for England in Six
Nations Cup and British Internationals.
It would be
great to see a new 21st century Bullseye show up and running
on terrestrial TV, with the £1 Million Pound Jackpot. I used
to watch Bullseye every Sunday tea time and it had a massive
captive audience. Your format with the £1 Million Pound
Jackpot would go way beyond that.

and Rebecca Cullen – Bullseye Fans from Norfolk
We have been
looking watching the re-runs of bully on challenge and both
my hubby and I said we had always wanted to appear on the
show. I decided to look online and see if it was possible to
register to become a contestant but discovered the survey
and the plight to bring back the game show we all grew up
with. I would love to see Bullseye return and would dearly
love to be a contestant and hear those famous words uttered
"You can't beat a bit of bully!!" |

'the demon' Woods – Bullseye Fan in Hertfordshire
Darts used to be played and
watched only by old men from the working mens clubs but
times have changed. With the darts having more TV coverage
the audience has grown to men and WOMEN of all ages, with
more people going to watch live darts and even more armchair
viewers. The game is more intense without a doubt!!
In the 17 years that I’ve been playing and watching the
darts more and more of my friends have caught the darts bug
too!! It just makes sense to bring back the greatest TV game show
ever!!! Please, please, please bring back Bully!!! |

Dean Chisnall, Starring in 'Never
Forget', The Take That Musical at The Savoy Theatre, London:
"Sundays just
aren't the same without a bit of bully! The ultimate game show
for the whole family.
It's high time we
got it back on our screens. I used to dream of winning that
speedboat!
They don't make
game shows like they used to. Long live 'Bullseye'!"

Audin – Bullseye Fan from Yorkshire.
“Good luck with getting
Bullseye back on the box, I love Darts and think it would be
awesome if Bullseye returned. With the sheer pace that Darts
has grown in recent years SURELY there’s a place for our
Bully on TV!”
By the way, get Al Murray to present it! That would be my
personal choice anyway, as long as he’s capable of taking it
marginally seriously |

Fantastic cult game
show, not just for dart players but for all the family to
enjoy. Would love to see a new series back on the box. |

Joshua Edwards - Bullseye fan
Bullseye is the best game show known to
man.
It made so many brilliant darts players
become more brilliant. It has made me want to become a darts player. It would be
a crime to not make a new Bullseye series.

Comments by Mickey Brennan, Programme
Associate and Contestant Research
Mickey Brennan, Programme Associate on
Bullseye, Family Fortunes, Blockbuster and The Price Is Right.
Mickey was responsible for selecting the contestant to be on
Bullseye. The hopeful contestants had to show their skills as a
dart player and their partner was asked 20 questions on a wide
range of topics. The most unpopular question at the interview
was the spelling question.
Of all the shows I worked on over the
years, Bullseye was by far and away my favourite show. It was
special. I remember asking a would be contestant on the show, a
soldier how to spell the word, Ecstasy. He looked horrified and
said, O...Aitch...S...Aitch...I...T. All the people in the room
burst out laughing. He was selected to appear on the show
because his general knowledge was very good and he was a fun
person.
We had over 25, 000 pairs of contestants
applying to appear on the show such was the shows popularity.
Unfortunately, I could not get around to see them all.

Herrett – Bullseye Fan from Surrey
Bullseye needs to return! I grew up watching this show
and the weekend has never been the same without it! Who can
forget the speedboats, the caravans or the sayings that have
gone down in TV history?!
Given how popular Darts has become in recent years, and the
large audiences that the televised tournaments pull in,
surely this is a prime time for Bullseye to make a comeback?
If the ITV execs don't give Bullseye a new series then
someone should give them their BFH and send them on their
way! |

Comment by Vince Powell. Creator of some of Televisions
biggest shows including, Bless This House, Never Mind The
Quality Feel The Width, Love Thy Neighbour, Never The Twain.
High drama, tingling
excitement, nail biting suspense, glittering prizes and laugh's
galore. All targeted to aim for to achieve a successful TV
entertainment show which can be enjoyed by all the family. Only
one show hit the 'Bullseye' in every category. Yes, it's the top
rated game show, 'BULLSEYE'. A great show.

With darts being as popular as ever and ITV4 covering
more tournaments bringing Bullseye back to ITV1 on a Sunday
couldn't be better timed. I watched Bullseye growing up and
now as a result I play in my local league and love the
sport. Please consider a return as I would love to apply to
be on the show. |

Robin Dingle - Darts fan from
Newcastle
It is with a warm nostalgia that I reflect upon Sunday tea-times
in the 80s and early 90s. Nylon shirts, tankards, Bully's Prize
Board and, of course, speedboats...
As everybody is well aware, you can't beat a bit of Bully, and
we could all do with a bit of Bully now, more than ever.
Bring back Bullseye! You know it makes sense..

Bird – Bullseye Fan in Surrey
I think there is a place again for Studio based shows -
reality has had its time and its time to get with reality
again - bring back some of the favourites and great shows
like Bullseye, the audience get a good night out, people at
home can scream the answers at the TV or get involved via
the 'red' button etc, what ever happen to proper studio
based 'live' TV. It seems the only live TV there is - is the
news and children's shows - is it not possible to make adult
and family live TV shows any more? |

James O'Brien - LBC 97.3 Show
"Bullseye's" absence from our screens is a
national tragedy. Until it returns how on earth can Britain lay
claim to having the best TV in the world?"
Maxie Allen, LBC 97.3 Producer
"Our LBC 97.3 Bullseye was a great success
and hugely enjoyable. The enthusiastic response from our
listeners just goes to show how much people miss the programme
from their TV screens!"
