PART ONE

Round One - Category Board Round

Three pairs of contestants from the general public, an amateur dart player and his or her team partner (known as the brains) compete against each another combining their skills at throwing darts at targets to win money and the opportunity for their partner (the brains) to answer a general knowledge question and, if answered correctly, win more money for the team.   The 'brains' of each team selects a category from one of the ten categories on the category board for their partner to throw a single dart at.

The Bullseye being worth £200 in all of the categories, the rest of each category on the board is divided into three different values, £100, £50 and £30.

The first questions in round one was worth £30 for a correct answer, added to whatever their dart playing partner scored in points.   A possible £230 pounds if the dart player hit the 'Bullseye' in the category chosen by his/her partner.  The second question in this round was worth £50 for a correct answer.  The third and final question in this round was worth £100 for a correct answer.  Once a category has gone, that category drops out of the round.   If the dart player missed the category chosen by his/her partner and landed in a category that had dropped out of the game, they lost the chance to answer a question in that round.   If the 'brains' of the team selected a category and his/her partner missed the category and landed in a category that was still in the game, the 'brains' of the team is asked a question in this category.    If the 'brains' did not know the answer or gave an incorrect answer, one of the two other competing team 'brains' could answer the question and if correct win bonus pounds.   At the end of this round The Host would state the scores of all three teams and then move on to Round Two.

Round Two - Pounds for Points Round

Pounds for points dartboardRound Two is the Pounds for Points round. Each dart player competes in three rounds of darts against one another. At the end of each round the dart player with the highest score wins the right for his/her partner to answer a general knowledge question. The value of the question in pounds is that scored by his/her dart-playing partner. For example, the dart player scores 97 using three darts. The brains of the team is then asked a general knowledge question and the value of that question is £97. At the end of Round Two, the two teams of contestants with the lowest scores leave the show taking with them the amount of money they won and a bendy bully, a tankard and set of Bullseye Darts. The team with the highest score would continue on to Part Two of Bullseye. The Host would then close part one and go to the commercial break.
