 Bullseye Theatre Tour

Bully is back! And he’s going on a tour of UK theatres this autumn with some of the greatest ever darts players. Together, they’ll be joining members of the audience to win the contents of his prize board!

All the faithful elements of the historic ‘80s gameshow will be recreated with some competitive darts thrown in as well, as the legends renew old rivalries!

Bullseye was first made for the ITV Network in 1981 and ran from 1982 until 1995. The show was watched by around 17 million viewers in its primetime Sunday slot and remains part of many people’s childhood history. Repeats of Bullseye are currently aired on the Challenge Channel, which is part of the Sky Platform.

John Lowe won the World Darts Championship title in three different decades - 1979, 1987 and 1993. He achieved the ultimate feat in darts in 1984 when he managed a nine dart finish - the sport’s perfect game! This was the first time this had ever been accomplished by any darts player while being televised.

As well as his three world titles, John also won two British Open Titles, two British Matchplay Championships, two  World Cup Singles and three European Cup Singles Titles, as well as countless other titles around the world in a hugely successful career. He played for England over 100 times and was captain for seven years, during which time his team were unbeaten.

Eric Bristow won his first World Darts Championship in 1980 and so began a decade’s worth of domination, in which he would retain his title in 1981 and win it again in 1984, 1985 and 1986.

Bristow emerged as the most successful and consistent darts player of the 1980s, reigning as number one in the world from 1980 until 1987. As well as his World Championship exploits, Bristow also lifted the prestigious World Matchplay Crown no fewer than five times. He was a winner of the World Cup Singles on four occasions together with countless other major tournaments including the British Open and Swedish Open three times each, and the North American Open on four occasions. Bristow, known as the “Crafty Cockney”, was awarded an MBE for his services to sport in 1989.

Bob Anderson was world number one for over three years in the late 1980s. Nicknamed “The Limestone Cowboy”, he threw his first darts maximum (180) at the tender age of five. He tragically broke his arm whilst training for the 1968 Olympics - an injury that brought an end to his javelin-throwing career. Anderson has had a long and successful darts career, winning the World Championship in 1988 and the World Matchplay in 1986, 1987 and 1988 - the first man to win the Masters in three successive years.  His ranking stayed sufficiently high to earn automatic qualification for most major PDC tournaments, and he went on to reach the semi-finals of the World Championships in 2004 and 2005. In 2008 he decided to take part in the League of Legends which was shown live on Setanta. He went on the capture the title, beating Keith Deller in the final.

PLEASE NOTE MARTIN ADAMS APPEARS IN BRIDLINGTON AND LAKESIDE IN PLACE OF ERIC BRISTOW

Martin Adams is the reigning BDO World Champion, having won his third World Title this year. He has been captain of England since 1993/94 - the longest any individual player has held that role. Adams is a darts legend and has won many BDO Open events and has twice won the WDF Singles. He is known worldwide as “Wolfie”..

Your host and comedian for the tour will be Neil Wheatley
